with the Minister of Research and Technology Decision Letter number 126/KPT/I/2018, “Mechatronics” officially becomes a Study Program

On Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Private University Coordination Region 3 office, Cawang, East Jakarta, a Ministry of Research and Technology Decision Letter was handed over on the establishment of Mechatronics Associate program number 126/KPT/I/2018. Mechatronics which has been a part of the Production Engineering and Manufacturing Process study program finally officially changed to an independent Study Program.

The handover was done by the Coordinator of Private University Coordination Region 3, Dr. Ir. Illah Sailah, MS, accompanied by Putut Pujogiri, SH, Executive Secretary of the Private University Coordination Region 3. In his speech, Dr. Ir. Illah Sailah, MS gave a briefing for Private Universities who received a Decision Letter of a new Study Program establishment to proactively propose re-accreditation at least 1.5 years after the Decision Letter was issued, he also reminded that the new Study Program shoold set a quality assurance and standards of the Study Program, and he also reminded Universities to do the Community Service which is part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. He hoped that the lecturers research can be given to the community and contextualized with teaching material. Finally, he advised the Higher Education to emphasize the development of the soft skills of their students, by succeeding in the Community Service Uniting Nusantara which were initiated by Private University Coordination Region 3 and is currently being held in East Belitung until March 4th. This program will continue every year. Next year, it will reach Papua.

Congratulations for Mechatronics Study Program receive the establishment decree, and hopefully with the current status, this study program will produce more outstanding students, bringing Polman Astra to be the best in the competition either Robotic or PLC at the national level and international. Also hopefully it can produce high-quality graduates who meet the industry needs, especially in the Astra Group, this will certainly giving a highest pride to PT Astra International and Polman Astra as part of the nation’s pride.
